Greenery Filled This Modern Black-and-White Waterfront Wedding at Maryland's Wye River Estate

For their wedding on Maryland's Eastern Shore, Adrienne and Matt wanted to combine modern Italian summer vibes, as an homage to Adrienne's heritage, with classic and timeless Eastern Shore hospitality. The couple made sure Maryland hospitality was present from the very beginning by giving guests welcome boxes filled with sentimental treats: chocolate-covered pretzels from Pittsburg where they are both from, Maryland crab chips from the bride's parents' home, and Italian sparkling water and Peroni. To further bring their vision to fruition, the couple planned a wedding ceremony at the historic St. Mary's Parish in Annapolis before heading over to Wye River Estate for a reception with waterfront views. An alfresco cocktail hour greeted guests as they arrived at the oceanfront property, along with an Italian spritz bar, antipasti display and live jazz tunes. Once it was time for dinner, guests were ushered into a sailcloth tent set up on the Wye River Estate property filled with candles and a hanging greenery and delphinium installation. In keeping with the Italy-meets-Maryland aesthetic, the couple's four-course dinner included both fresh pasta and Maryland blue crab with bomboloni (Italian doughnuts) and gelato to cap off the night on a sweet note.
