When planning their wedding, Jasmine Flanagan (28 and a graduate student) and Sean White (31 and a director of fund development) both felt a strong pull towards Detroit. “It’s where we met and started building our home, so we knew we couldn’t do it anywhere else,” Jasmine says. The pair hosted a polished industrial wedding in Motor City, complete with sleek black and white accents and lots of fresh greenery. “Our venue had so much character, there wasn’t much we needed to add,” the couple says. When it came to fashion, the pair both opted for traditional-yet-chic looks for their wedding day attire, with Jasmine in a white lace gown and Sean in a classic navy tuxedo with black lapels.
