Gold Details Filled Every Inch of This Luxurious Wedding at The Palace at Somerset in New Jersey

Sophia Dupont (37 and a social worker) and Terrance Carter (47 and a social worker) began their office romance after working at the same company for more than 12 years. Once they were ready to make it official, they decided to plan an elegant celebration that embraced the blooming florals and soft colors of springtime. “We wanted to include as many flowers as possible,” the pair says. “We were really going for that ‘wow’ factor.” From white rose petals lining the aisle to edible blooms atop their cake, the couple transformed their venue into a budding garden perfectly suited for a day of romance. Unique birch “trees” overflowing with luxe blooms (think: orchids, roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus and more) took center stage at the reception, while floating candles, mirrored tabletops and metallic blush rosebud chairs added to the romantic vibe.  In front of a gold table, covered in flowers and framed by a floral arch, the pair’s wedding logo decorated the dance floor.  A tiered confection—made from layers of snickerdoodle, red velvet and vanilla cake and garnished with delicate pink flowers—did double duty as a dessert and décor. “We were so excited to see what all of our months of planning ended up looking like,” the couple says. “We were both floored—we couldn’t believe how gorgeous everything turned out.”Sophia wore an elegant white tulle ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and embellished lace, while Terrance looked sharp in a polished custom tux. Sophia’s bridesmaids wore floor-length dusty-pink dresses and carried bouquets of blush and cream, seamlessly matching the wedding’s floral theme and warm color palette.
