With black, gold and silver details, luxurious florals, glitzy décor and plenty of feathers, Charo Kent (35 and a clinical coordinator) and Antoine Bates's (34 and a captain of the US Marine Corps) wedding had an Old Hollywood glamour. The couple's garden ceremony included an arch draped with chiffon and podiums topped with gold vases filled with white roses and ostrich feathers. “I love when people get extremely dressed up to go to a party," Charo says. "There’s something about putting on a gown, getting your hair and makeup done, and attending an elegant event." Art deco notes found in the invitations, table numbers and bridesmaid dresses also set an upscale tone. At the reception, tables were covered with sequined linens and topped with candles, white roses and ostrich feathers. “The energy of the room needed to say ‘let’s dance all night,’ ” Charo says.
