Glamorous Ceremony With Historic Tradition

At the conclusion of their ceremony in the rotunda of the Katzen Arts Center, Jocelyn and CJ "jumped the broom," which is an African American tradition that originated during slavery (because slaves could not legally marry). The jump signifies the couple's leap from single life into married life.
