Fuchsia Brought a Modern Touch to This Autumn Wedding at The Stave Room in Atlanta, Georgia

“We wanted the evening to feel warm and elegant,” Alyson Moler (30 and a director of revenue growth management) says of her wedding to Brandon Hayes (34 and a financial planner). They also envisioned a night with a bit of urban edge, reflecting the vibrancy of the city where they met and live. With concrete floors, 18-foot ceilings and a distillery next door, The Stave Room at American Spirit Works gave the couple a refined, industrial setting. They softened the space with pillar candles, autumnal colors and greenery, and incorporated creative details like a ceremony backdrop of tangled branches. The venue provided its own welcoming touch: a signature cocktail, named for the couple’s pup, made from ginger beer and American Spirit Works’s own silver whiskey. “We loved pairing contemporary metallic accents with plush linens, bold florals and rustic farm tables,” Alyson says. Midnight blue and gold dominated the design, appearing on the acrylic seating chart, curly willow branch centerpiece, foil-stamped stationery and the white chocolate raspberry and caramel spice cake. Blue velvet draped the 20-foot round head table, while tall arrangements of amaranthus, hellebores and seeded eucalyptus marked the others. At the end of the night, the newlyweds exited the reception in a midnight-blue 1966 Oldsmobile convertible.
