For Fran Thompson and Adam Cain, wedding planning was hectic. The two graduates of Berry College (who met as Bonner Scholars, a national community service scholarship program that engages in work on projects like the national Make a Difference Day) were living six hours apart from each other. THE BRIDE Fran Thompson, 26, a college admissions officer THE GROOM Adam Cain, 26, a lawyer THE DATE April 5 Adam was finishing his last semester of law school in Mississippi; Fran was working in the admissions office of Berry College and traveling extensively. Though they were hundreds of miles apart, the couple managed to plan a wedding together -- with the help of Fran's very creative and organized friend who assisted as wedding planner. The benefit of undertaking such a project at a long distance from each other: It was really great communication practice for a marriage, says Fran.
