Margo and Jonathan, who met through a mutual friend, had never talked about marriage in the year-and-a-half they’d been dating. The Bride Margo Thaxton, 29, event coordinator The Groom Jonathan Tate, 34, real estate agent The Date October 25 She happily agreed to take part and walked around picking up eggs and reading clues. When she finally got to the last egg, she shook it and heard a rattle—and assumed there were jelly beans inside! She nearly fell over when she opened the egg and saw a diamond ring instead. “Needless to say, my favorite holiday is now Easter,” says Margo.

Both Margo and Jonathan attended the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd growing up and felt it was the perfect place to say their “I dos.”
Margo opted for a classic, round, all-white rose bouquet. The twist: A conch shell took the place of a bouquet wrap, and iridescent shells were mixed in with the blooms!
Guests rested their cocktail glasses on napkins with the couple’s names printed in a modern, uppercase font.
Chocolate buttercream tinted with gold made Jonathan’s cake look more like a statue than a dessert!
The couple danced the salsa while a 12-piece band played “Michaelia” for their first dance.
The couple waved to guests as they left the reception on a sailboat appropriately named The Passion.
The 11 bridesmaids wore Calypso wrap dresses that they styled to best fit their body types. The dress can be made into one-shoulder, V-neck and halter styles, and is one size fits all (literally!).
Sugar seashells, starfish and coral cascaded over the buttercream-frosted cake’s four tiers, which also featured fresh orchids, adding touches of color.
Brochure-style programs outlined the couple’s religious ceremony and introduced the Spanish classical guitar trio that played the processional, “Spanish Romanza.”
Orchids adorned with mini conch shells tied the couple’s theme into the guys’ looks.
