Fall Family Farm Wedding

Kristin Moore (33 and a farm manager) and Caleb Kennedy (30 and a project manager) weren’t the only ones who exchanged vows during their October wedding ceremony. Caleb also made promises to Kristin’s three kids, who then surprised him with vows of their own. “We wanted the kids to feel like this day was about our family, not just me and Caleb,” Kristin says. Antique wood pews and an aisle lined with pampas grass set beneath a sprawling oak tree created a church-like setting for the ceremony on Kristin’s family farm.
Kristin and Caleb left their ceremony in a 1960s Rolls-Royce. The newlyweds dined together at a wood table that once belonged to Caleb’s late mother. Kristin and Caleb served up unique bites, like bacon-wrapped quail, local Sweet Grass cheese and flatbread pizzas made in the farm’s wood-fired oven. Kristin, her dad and Caleb blended four wines for the reception, including a blackberry merlot. A boho mix of pampas grass, proteas, roses and more topped tables.
Strings of bistro lights hung from tall wood posts and framed the outdoor reception space. The couple added to the boho look with rattan chargers, mismatched tablecloths and antique lanterns. Kristin and Caleb, both former farmers, got engaged on the farm and love the outdoors, so the close-to-home location was a no-brainer. Kristin’s bridesmaids all wore unique floral dresses and crowns of greenery.
