Over half of the guests who attended Erron and Scott's wedding in Moraga were from out of state. There's nothing very unusual about that these days, especially in Northern California. But ask Erron about the very best moment of her wedding day and her answer is decisive: Seeing so many people who we love and who live in such disparate places getting along and having a great time. THE BRIDE Erron Al-Amin THE GROOM Scott Markham THE DATE July 5 The bride and groom met about four years earlier, when a mutual friend introduced them. The two spent the whole evening talking, and, says Erron, We have pretty much talked every day since. Scott proposed on a romantic Maui beach, and plans for the wedding took about one year.

The Reception Decor
Erron's mother, Audrey Robinson, created the wedding gown. The design had three layers of silk organza, with a pearl-beaded pattern at the neckline, an embroidered leaf pattern, and crystals and beads scattered across the bodice and the hem. My mother made the dress exactly as I had imagined, only better, says Erron.
The first, and biggest, to-do on the list was choosing the wedding site. Erron and Scott were initially discouraged to find that many of the facilities that they liked had been booked solid more than a year in advance. But when they found The Hacienda de las Flores, they were sold. It's an elegant location that is really two venues in one, says Erron. The Greek-style pavilion was made for a classic ceremony, and the hacienda, with its open spaces and Spanish style, was made for a great outdoor wedding.
Both Erron and Scott's families played key roles in wedding planning, including pitching in to help create the wedding attire. The bride's aunt made one of the bridesmaid dresses (the other was sewn by a dressmaker in New York).
