Having gone to rival high schools in Baldwin and Manchester, Missouri, there was never a good chance for Erin and Nick to bump into each other -- that is, until Erin’s best friend and Nick’s brother (who were engaged) decided to play matchmaker. And, as Erin puts it, by the time the wedding hit, “the champagne must have had a love potion in it” because the two have been together ever since. After four years of dating, Nick proposed to Erin on a bridge overlooking the Riverwalk while on a trip in San Antonio. “Nick tapped me on the arm, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee proposing,” Erin says. “I was so shocked!”
