Erica and Kirk’s relationship is proof that a few good meals can change your life. The Bride Erica Saypol, 28, doctoral candidate in clinical psychology The Groom Kirk Saari, 30, managment consulting director The Date July 15 The couple met years ago at a dinner held by the firm where they both worked. Two years into their friendship, Kirk called Erica and asked her out on a date. But rather than taking her out, Kirk, who is a fabulous chef, was making Erica a dinner at home. With that, their relationship began, and many months later, Kirk prepared Erica another romantic meal -- this time proposing over chocolate and Spanish wine. Erica happily said yes, and they set out to plan a summer wedding in Erica’s hometown.

The couple’s florist used pink and green blooms to decorate the first chair in each row. Pink and red rose petals lined the grassy aisle.
Erica’s maids wore bright fuchsia cocktail dresses with sage green sashes. They carried clutches of pink roses, peonies, spray roses, and calla lilies.
Celery green table linens and various flower arrangements in silver bowls created a look that was formal and elegant.
The Reception Decor
The couple married under a romantic birch arbor decorated in pink and green blooms.
The cake was decorated with white buttercream frosting that featured swag and bead detailing. White orchids with fuchsia centers and green orchids added pops of color.
Cosmopolitans and appletinis carried out the couple’s pink and green color scheme during the cocktail hour.
