Emily and Nick lived in Colorado when they became engaged, and they turned to wedding consultant Melisa Imberman to help them with their long-distance wedding plans. Melisa sat with the couple for hours as they reviewed tapes of different wedding bands. We were very, very choosy about the band, admits the bride, who finally chose Synergy to do the honors.
The weekend began with a Midwestern-themed picnic rehearsal celebration, hosted by Nick’s parents, on the grounds of the Tarrytown House. Guests clad in jeans and bandanas were entertained by the couple and their a capella group. Centerpieces were composed of wildflowers from Nick’s home state of Minnesota, and chocolates made in Minnesota were served after dinner.
