Four stores and 40 dresses later, Emily Weidman, with the help of her patient boyfriend Nate Meloon, found the perfect outfit for an upcoming wedding. Little did Emily know she would soon be planning a wedding of her own. THE BRIDE Emily Weidman, 22, English teacher THE GROOM Nate Meloon, 24, editorial assistant THE DATE November 22 Emily and Nate wanted an autumn wedding, and they set out to plan an affair to remember. I was impressed with how much Nate got involved and I love him for that, says Emily. Leaves and wheat stood out as decorative statements. The programs, handmade by Nate's family, incorporated elements of both: The covers had cutouts of maple leaves; the pages were tied together with raffia (meant to resemble wheat, which symbolizes prosperity).

The ceremony, a combination of traditional Christian and personalized vows, took place in the Founder's Hall rotunda, which was bursting with flowers, fountains, and crystal chandeliers.

Emily walked down one of two cascading staircases (the aisle) in a strapless gown with champagne trim and a lace-up back. Her tiara featured beaded pearls -- in leaf formations, of course. Says Nate, The best part was watching Em come down the stairs. Wow.

Gerbera daisies reigned as the favorite flower, making appearances in all the floral arrangements. Emily, bridesmaids, and flower girl carried different arrangements that maintained a similar color scheme. We started with a palette of deep reds, ivories, and earthy colors and added yellow and orange for kicks, she says.
Guests started the festive spread with a warming Italian wedding soup, finished with a three-tier red velvet cake, and enjoyed a jazz ensemble throughout.
