Emily and Dan met at a company softball tournament. They went on their first date about a month later, when Dan (who sails competitively) asked Emily to come to a dinner with his sailing class. The following Wednesday, Dan took Emily sailing in what turned out to be a crazy windstorm. When Emily, who had never been on a boat before, stayed totally calm, Dan was hooked. He says they were like an old married couple after that.
