From a mountain casual celebration to an all-out opulent affair, Emily Harrison, Brian Sullivan, and their 300 guests took over a tony ski town. The Bride Emily Harrison, public relations consultant The Groom Brian Sullivan, private equity manager The Date February 15 Emily and Brian, both of Los Angeles, were enjoying a ski weekend in Vail, Colorado. Little did Emily know that Brian was planning to propose on the trip. He had even secretly hired a photographer to capture the moment atop a grand mountain -- which the couple later used for their save-the-date cards.

Since Vail had special meaning for Emily and Brian, they decided to throw a three-day extravaganza there for 300 guests. We set to work right away once we decided that we wanted the wedding to be held on Presidents' Day weekend, which is also peak season in Vail, explains Emily, who devised different themes for three nights of celebrating. The festivities kicked off Thursday with two mountain casual parties -- one for the under-30 crowd, one for 30-over guests. For Friday's rehearsal dinner, guests were asked to wear red, pink, or white in honor of Valentine's Day.
To get around in the snow, Emily donned furry white apres-ski boots with her strapless Badgley Mischka gown. Elbow-length white leather gloves and a white mink stole completed her chic ski-bunny look.
The ceremony, on Saturday, took place at 7:30 p.m. at the Vail Interfaith Chapel, followed by a grand reception at The Lodge at Vail.
