Emerald Green Lace Wedding Dress

Paying tribute to her Afghan heritage, Susan donned a green lace gown for the ceremony. “It is tradition in Afghanistan, for the bride to wear a green dress,” Susan says. “My mom and I spent months looking for the perfect one and even considered dying a white dress green. We finally found the lace green Jovani dress at Gattinolli in Ridgewood, New Jersey. We worked with Fay, the seamstress to stitch up the bust and add three-quarter-length sleeves.” She paired the look with a custom green tulle veil and the same gold and emerald necklace, earrings and ring that her mother had worn at her own wedding.
