John proposed to Marianne in front of a local jewelry store, John Laughter Jewelry, in Waynesville, North Carolina. Right after Marianne said yes, they headed into the shop to pick out a gorgeous emerald cut diamond ring. "I was completely shocked, and could barely even breathe to pick out my ring!" Marianne says.
