“I had an idea of exactly how I wanted to look from day one and ended up pretty much exactly how I imagined myself,” says Lauren. The bride-to-be had her heart set on a strapless, fitted down with detailed embellishments that would complement the wedding’s glamorous vibe. A Monique Lhuillier trumpet gown fit the bill, with its layered lace, airy tulle accents and intricate beading along the bodice. “Because the dress was so fancy, I didn’t want to overdo it,” says Lauren. “I chose a simple tulle veil that was slightly longer than arms’ length.”
