Three years later, as the sun was setting, Adam proposed to Elena atop Cheaha Mountain. As a fitting ode to Elena’s favorite season, the two chose to have their nuptials the very next fall at Foundation Ranch in Choccolocco, Alabama, so they could let the autumn scenery take center stage. Chocolate and ivory hues with touches of orange provided the rich color palette. Details including bales of hay and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows enhanced the down-home feel.

Adam painted wooden arrows to point guests in the direction of the ceremony and reception. Guests signed a framed picture of the couple's engagement photo. The two also had a painting of an old country church with a sign out front that read: Welcome to Our Wedding: Elena and Adam October 27, 2007.
Elena carried a bouquet of roses, calla lilies, tiger lilies, and greenery wrapped in chocolate-brown ribbon.
Adam's six groomsmen looked dapper in chocolate-brown tuxedos, which complemented the bridesmaid dresses.
After the reception was over, Elena and Adam exited through a shower of sparklers as guests bid the newlyweds farewell.
To coordinate with the bridesmaids, the flower girl's ivory dress was accented with a chocolate-brown sash. She carried a pumpkin-shaped orange basket filled with fall leaves.
Adam and Elena's three-tiered, square, buttercream-frosted cake was decorated with a cascade of sugar leaves and fresh flowers in fall hues. Sugar grapes garnished the bottom and a wrought-iron cake topper completed the look.
The reception tables were adorned with alternating tablecloths in shades of chocolate and ivory. Pumpkins filled with calla lilies, carnations, roses, and daisies added to the autumnal vibe. Small white candles surrounded the arrangements.
Elena and Adam said their vows with lush green mountains as their backdrop just as the sun began to set. Pumpkins and bales of hay lined the aisle to the altar, where Elena's dad, a minister, performed the ceremony.
In keeping with the fall theme, the bridesmaids wore floor-length, chocolate-brown dresses with ivory sashes.
