Elegant Wedding Among McIntosh Apple Groves at Crane Orchards in Fennville, Michigan
Alex and Nick incorporated different parts of their story into their wedding details. As a nod to their meet-cute at the Apple store where Nick worked, the couple welcomed guests to the McIntosh groves of Crane Orchards. From there, they filled the day with flavored lemonade, Alex’s favorite drink, and three wedding cakes made by the family’s bakery. “All of the sentimental pieces made it feel so personal,” Alex says.
Alex and Nick made it a priority to include as many of their loved ones in their day as possible, from posing the bride’s niece in a wagon as the flower girl to featuring her cousins as musicians at the ceremony. “We got creative when coming up with ways to make sure everyone was involved,” Alex says. “It was so important to us.” The couple’s pup, Jackie, also took on a starring role at the ceremony, playing ring bearer in a floral collar.
The night before their wedding, Alex, Nick, their wedding party and their extended family stayed in cabins on her family’s property near the orchard. The morning of, everyone headed to the venue together. “It’s special to go back to the cabins and relive those moments,” Alex says.
After eating breakfast classics like French toast and bacon, guests headed to a taco truck for an after-dinner snack. “We didn’t want anyone leaving bored or hungry,” Alex says.
