Kelsie and Joey were acquaintances in high school and shared the same circle of friends, but the two were not reunited until four years later, when Kelsie was a senior at Stephen F. Austin University and Joey was a second year law student at the University of Texas. Kelsie was visiting friends in Austin, Texas for the weekend, and the two ran into each other at a friend’s New Years Eve party. Kelsie made every effort to spend the rest of the weekend by his side, and by the time she drove home from Austin, she knew Joey was the one she would spend the rest of her life with. From then on, the pair was inseparable. Joey proposed on his birthday by giving Kelsie tablet (and a ring!) so she could start planning their Austin, Texas wedding. The two included their closest family and friends in their special day at Villa Antonia, an elegant, sophisticated venue atop High Hat Mountain with breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country and Lake Travis.

Kelsie and Joseph both lived in Austin, Texas for quite some time and shared many memories there together, so they felt like it would be the perfect locatoin to make their wedding day special. "Villa Antonia is mostly outdoors and it really feels like you're in Italy... surely not Texas," says Kelsie.
Kelsie purchased her Watters design wedding dress at Serendipity Bridal in Austin, Texas. It was a washed silk organza fabric with a sweetheart neckline and a silk ribbon waist band. "The skirt was A-line, very airy and so soft it seemed like I was floating on a cloud," says Kelsie.
The groomsmen boutonnieres varied in color from orange, coral, blush to white ranunculus blossoms with a touch of greenery.
Kelsie's bouquet featured a blush, champagne and ivory blend of garden and spray roses, ranunculuses and succulents.
Kelsie's bridesmaids wore a Watters design in a blush color. Kelsie picked out three different short style dresses, either strapless or a thin spaghetti strap, for them to choose from.
Kelsie and Joey's tables were labeled by the names of special locations, such as Barton Springs, London and Chicago, written on white wooden cubes.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt and black bow tie. All of the groomsmen wore black tuxedos with a blush bow tie to match the bridesmaids.
"We kept our decor simple and used lanterns, tea lights, votive candles and framed photos of Joey and me as well as pictures from our parents' and grandparents' wedding days," says Kelsie. Jars of purple and tangerine orange flowers in vintage vases amplified the theme.
Kelsie and Joey's wedding color palette consisted of blush, soft pinks, beige and cream, deep purples and a pop of tangerine orange. Gypsy Floral created beautiful, whimsical arrangements with long stems and greenery.
Kelsie's flower girls wore classic white dresses with a deep purple silk sash and matching crystal headbands. They each wore their hair in a bun complete with an embellished purple bow.
Kelsie wore a Watters A-line dress with washed silk organza fabric with a sweetheart neckline and a silk ribbon waist band in classic white.
Kelsie and Joey exchanged their vows in Villa Antonia, an elegant, sophisticated venue located in Jonestown, a few miles outside of Austin, Texas.
Kelsie and Joey were married at the elegant Villa Antonia in Austin, Texas. "This venue is so pretty on its own you really don't need to decorate," says Kelsie.
Kelsie's advice to future brides is simple: "Take time to breathe and enjoy every second. Remember the true meaning of your wedding day and what's really important. You're getting married and this is the start of your next chapter in life!" She and Joey were wed at Villa Antonia in Austin, Texas, with breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country and Lake Travis.
Sweet Treets Bakery created a classic, four-tier wedding cake with blush rims and two dove cake toppers for Kelsie and Joey. The largest tier was white chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream frosting. The second tier was chocolate cake, the third tear was tiramisu and the top tier was banana creak cake with peanut butter frosting.
Joey's groom's cake was shaped like the Sigma Chi badge. It was a delicious white chocolate cake with Reese's peanut butter filling.
Kelsie and Joey wanted their wedding to be special, and it was important to them that everyone had an excellent time. "In order to do that, a great DJ, food and an open bar was a must! We used Miles from Tx Pro DJ—he did an excellent job of keeping everyone on track throughout all of the wedding activities and made sure our guests had fun on the dance floor all evening."
