“The China Cabin was originally a social saloon on top of an old steamship called the PS China, built in New York and sailed from San Francisco to Asia with the US Postal Service,” says Joy. “It was decommissioned in the late 1800s and was restored in 1986 to its current grandeur, complete with 22-karat-gold trim and details of the Victorian era.”
