This Couple Chose an Edgy Black-and-White Palette for Their Wedding at Clay Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida
It’s not hard to see why some colors are considered timeless. To celebrate their marriage, Aneesha and Keisha planned a whimsical, yet edgy, wedding with a color palette of black, white and blush at Clay Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida. While the color palette they settled on is a classic, the couple expertly planned their day to feel fresh, modern and chic. Stunning fashion, elegant decorations and creative personalization all worked in harmony to bring the couple’s wedding together. "I really wanted to go with having a classy, modern wedding," shares Aneesha. "The venue itself was beautiful so all that was needed was just some small touches to make the space more us."
The day began with a wedding ceremony on the venue’s terrace. A white brick wall served as the backdrop to the vow exchange; to soften the industrial look the couple had their floral designer add floral hoops to the altar. Beyond just the floral hoop backdrop, "florals played a vital part in the wedding," explains Aneesha. She goes on to add that "roses, peonies, and lilies were the main flowers. We didn't want too many flowers but we also didn't want too much greenery so we decided on a happy medium and I think we got just that." When it came to fashion, Aneesha chose an elegant dress and paired her look with a crystal headpiece. Meanwhile, Keisha donned a black-and-white tux for the occasion. To add a pop of color to the day’s fashion, Annesha and Keisha outfit their wedding party in long blush dresses.
Once the couple was pronounced married, they celebrated with a reception decorated with pops of gold to fit her enhance the black, white and blush shades seen throughout the event. And to cap off the wedding on a sweet note, the couple’s cake included a customized “Star Wars”-inspired cake topper as a nod to Keisha's favorite movie. Another memorable moment from the wedding reception was when Keisha's friends from college performed a special dance routine. From college friends to other loved ones, the couple emphasizes how special it was to have their "small circle of people who love on us together for the day."
