After meeting at a work party, music licensing directors Kelly Ross (30) and Steve Stromp's (32) relationship took off. When it came time to plan their fall fete, they decided to play up the old-school glamour of their venue - The Graylyn Estate - with dramatic splashes of wine and apple green, plus exotic arrangements of artichokes and pomegranates. “I love flowers and was very hands-on when selecting the varietals we used,” Kelly says of her exotic bouquet of snapdragons, lamb’s ear and proteas. Guests watched from whitewashed chairs on the lawn as Kelly and Steve said “I do” under a gazebo adorned with roses, amaranthus and eucalyptus. During the proceedings, the couple included a unique element: a honey ceremony using honey from Kelly’s mother’s bees. At the reception, the newlyweds danced to Miguel’s “Simple Things,” a song they often listened to during their courtship. Guests enjoyed a decadent wedding cake before heading home with ribbon-tied bags of Kelly’s father’s candies. “He makes incredible chocolate and pecan toffee," Steve says. "He’s famous for it in his hometown."
