A Minimalist Winter Wedding at The Everly Event Space in Kansas City, Missouri

Saryn and Evan  wanted their wedding to feel authentically their own. “I was very particular about the details,” Saryn says. “It had to be truly ours.” Evan’s two requests: Mexican food and dancing. After a Christian service with a foot-washing ceremony, the pair served chicken tortilla soup and cinnamon cake, which they ate at their own dining room table from home. Evan’s second wish came true thanks to an R&B-filled playlist.  An unexpected blizzard left Saryn and Evan’s first look a bit chilly. “Evan read his vows on a soaking wet piece of paper,” Saryn says. Despite the cold, the time alone was the couple’s favorite moment of the day.
