Sparks flew on the Fourth of July in Provincetown when Daniel (Dan) and Douglas (Doug) met by chance at a mutual friend’s party. “Our interest in each other and passionate conversation about politics created a spark of attraction,” Doug says. They held hands that night while watching the fireworks over Provincetown Harbor, and four years later to the day, Doug proposed to Dan on one knee at the tip of the jetty in Provincetown.
