DIY Custom Wood and Fabric Chuppah

Rya and Andrew exchanged vows under a custom made chuppah that Rya made with the help of her cousin and mother. “We tried to make every event as intimate and comfortable as possible,” she says. “The ceremony was probably the biggest component of that: there were a lot of touches—the chuppah to passing our rings around—that brought everyone in not only as witnesses but also as members of our community to support and sustain us.”
