Dina stood outside Fenway Park after a Boston Red Sox game one evening, waiting to meet Neil for their first date. As 35,000 fans streamed past, she realized she couldn’t recall what he looked like. The Bride Dina Pimentel, 28, works in online advertising The Groom Neil Holland, 28, project manager The Date May 21 Finally, she spotted him and started a conversation, only to be interrupted by a “Hi, Dina” from behind. As it turns out, the real Neil wasn’t initially sure what she looked like either, but he recognized her and (thankfully) saved her from leaving with the wrong guy. After two years, Neil proposed on Coquina Beach in the Outer Banks, while a photographer captured the happy moment on film.

Dina's maids carried similar bouquets to the bride's, but shades of apple green.
Dina and Neil's invitations were inserted into a chartreuse paper pocket and decorated with a sketch of The Whalehead Club.
The couple incorporated several themes into their wedding day cuisine: heart-shaped quesadillas as a tribute to Cinco de Mayo, the day they met; skewers of linguica and pineapple in honor of Dina’s Portuguese heritage; baby Maryland crab cakes for the state where Neil grew up; and a raw bar with crab claws and cocktail shrimp to commemorate their beach location.
Dina carried bright pink and green blooms of pink peonies, Jade and pink spray roses, green cymbidium orchids, and green hydrangeas.
The bride and groom danced first to “Learn to Love” by Harry Connick Jr.
As soon as Dina saw The Whalehead Club she knew their search for the perfect reception venue was over. The lawn, set up with pole tents, overlooked the Currituck Sound. Chartreuse and pink linens covered the tables, which were decorated with galvanized pails filled with green hydrangeas and pink peonies for centerpieces. Paper lanterns of the same colors hung over the dance floor.
Dina designed all of the paper goods, which featured the wedding date.
Dina thought about wearing a sheath-style gown to match the beach location but ultimately decided to go with the gown she had always imagined -- a simple, strapless, silk ball gown by Marisa.
