Call it old-fashioned, but many men still ask a woman’s father for permission to date his daughter. In Michael’s case, though, he had to ask his own father for permission to date Diana. The two were coworkers at a group of automotive dealerships owned by Michael’s father. “He wanted to ask me out, but his father had a strict policy against employees dating,” says Diana.
