A Brewery Wedding at Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon
California natives and craft beer enthusiasts Rochelle Breyman and Ben Rice tied the knot in an intimate affair at the Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon.
“While on vacation in Bend, Ben proposed along the Deschutes River after we had spent a night enjoying the sunset from Crux Fermentation Project," Rochelle says. "When we began to plan our wedding, we knew beer would be a focal point, and we were excited to share our love for craft with our closest friends and family.”
The Deschutes Brewery offered the ideal backdrop for the bash, with its mountain views, rustic aesthetic and the opportunity for guests to take a private tour during cocktail hour.
Drawing on their venue for inspiration, Rochelle and Ben infused the event with plenty of craft-themed accents. Customized beer coasters served as the couple’s save-the-dates, the wedding invitations featured a wheat and hops motif, and the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages were laced with vibrant green hops. Beer barrels adorned with lanterns and cascading florals framed the ceremony aisle, tables were named after Deschutes beers and the centerpieces included growler jugs that doubled as candelabras. Rochelle even accessorized her lace Rebecca Ingram gown with a pair of Deschutes Brewery socks!
Before hitting the dance floor, guests were treated to a decadent meal complete with beer pairing, giving the couple’s family and friends a taste of local flavor.
“Don't sweat the small stuff and roll with whatever the day brings you," the couple advises. "Everything may not go exactly as planned, but that's okay—it all ends up working out in the end.”
