An Indian couple from New Jersey with a passion for Mexico headed south of the border to host a culturally conscious destination wedding just steps from the ocean. After a casual, fiesta-inspired welcome party and a lively rehearsal dinner in an underground cave, a sunset reception followed an Indian ceremony with a modern twist, complete with saris, floral garlands, the groom arriving on horseback and a Lucite mandap (canopy). Dinner and dancing took place under the stars—both Mother Nature’s and colorful tin ones hanging from the tent!The cocktail hour was held around a fountain strung with lights and filled with bougainvillea blossoms.
