Dawn and Kevin first met as graduate students at UC San Diego. Though the two were always friends and even roommates for a while, they didn’t begin a relationship until they were about to graduate. “We were about to move to two different parts of the world, though, so we had to wait a bit longer before we could give it a real shot,” Kevin says. A year later, Dawn moved back to the U.S., and the two began dating. Two years later, the couple moved to Ghana.
