After meeting through mutual friends at Marymount College in Palos Verdes, CA, Danika and Luca hit it off immediately, but were disappointed to have to spend six weeks apart soon thereafter for winter vacation. But the distance (Danika was visiting family in Portland, Luca went home to Italy) proved no match for this love-struck couple, and when we returned to school after break, Danika says, we were inseparable.
