Matched on a single's site in 2006, the two hit it off online and decided to meet in person at IKEA, located halfway between their homes in Huntington Beach and Culver City. For the proposal, Charlie set up a scavenger hunt in her apartment that ended with a fortune cookie hidden inside a puzzle box in her bedroom. The cookie's message read, Will you marry me? He then got down on one knee and popped the question.

Inspired by a turquoise and orange ribbon the bride found in the fabric district in downtown L.A., the cake featured elaborate floral decor, white buttercream swirls and large orange blooms. A bride and groom topped the cake -- but they barely made it through the reception because the belly dancer knocked them down. The arms broke, but the wedding coordinator fixed them just in time for the cake cutting!
In lieu of a guest book, guests wrote wishes for the couple on paper tags, made from the same paper used for the programs, and hung them from a tabletop tree strung with glass beads.
The Rabaat Room's tall ceilings and dramatic chandelier made it perfect for the ceremony. An orange aisle runner and floral chair ties added a touch of color.
