Heather wore two dresses for the wedding. For the ceremony, Heather wanted to honor her mother, who was unable to attend the wedding because of illness, by wearing a lace gown as a nod to the one her mother wore on her own wedding day. She found a stunning lace mermaid gown by Danielle Caprese for Kleinfeld at The Bridal Garden in New York City, a nonprofit bridal boutique whose proceeds go toward educating disadvantaged children. "It was awesome to know that my purchase went to such a terrific cause. I bought it off the rack and it fit me almost perfectly,” Heather says.
