Though they call the Big Apple home, Cynara Webb and Philip Charles-Pierre headed south for a gorgeous country wedding amid the peach trees. The Bride Cynara Webb, 31 The Groom Philip Charles-Pierre, 30 The Date October 4 Like a true gentleman, Philip Charles-Pierre asked Cynara Webb for a dance at a New York City charity event. Like a scene from Sex and the City, the strangers spent the rest of the night getting to know each other. Cynara was from Atlanta, but Philip made such an impression that she called him shortly upon returning home. After a year and a half of long-distance dating, Cynara took a huge leap of faith, she says, and moved to the big city. One year later, the southern girl returned home to plan their elegant country wedding.

The flower of the day, paired with mango calla lilies, made its way to tables at the poolside reception. Tiny white lights and candles placed throughout the grounds gave the outdoor party an evening glow.
The Couple
Fresh flowers, dotted around the three-tier cake, brought together the wedding's garden theme. Filled with lemon and chocolate mousse, the wedding cake was finished in a Swiss buttercream.
Cynara's two nieces embodied the true essence of their title in dresses with silk roses.
Naturally, Cynara carried a bursting assortment of dahlias for the co-officiated ceremony (he's Catholic, she's Methodist) held near an orchard with blossoming Georgia peach trees. Hundreds of dahlias made Cynara's day complete.
Philip wore a mocha tie with stone details.
After dinner, everyone hit the dance floor, grooving to decade-spanning R&B dance songs. Philip and I are both natural hams so we just had a great time, Cynara says. Just like their first meeting in Manhattan.
The Ceremony
I love fall and its colors, Cynara said, and I wanted to take advantage of Georgia's warm, beautiful, rich autumn season. Vibrant flowers, specifically dahlias (the bride's favorite) in all colors, played center stage. From the save-the-date cards to the monogrammed canvas tote bags given as bridesmaid gifts, a delicate dahlia logo was emblazoned everywhere -- even popping up on the favors, a CD that included songs from Sade, The Roots, and Jill Scott.
Cynara wore an off-white Vera Wang satin dress with a champagne ribbon at the waist, nabbed at the year-end Vera Wang sample sale in New York.
