Custom Wedding Dress Embroidery

Lily embroidered a pig and heart onto a piece of fabric from her mother’s wedding gown. “The pig and heart represent both of my grandmothers and were made from fabric from both of their blue wedding dresses,” she says. “My maternal grandmother collected pigs and wore a navy wool gabardine suit. My paternal grandmother collects hearts and allowed me to cut a piece of her ice blue silk wedding gown. I always hoped I'd be able to incorporate their wedding attire into my own as my something blue."
