Matthew Diwi (25 and an assistant manager) is an avid hunter and fisherman. Kaileigh Nesenson (26 and an associate buyer) prefers dressing up for dinners downtown. “We have very different tastes,” Kaileigh says. “It was important that our wedding incorporated both of our personalities equally.” They achieved that with a stylish country celebration at Legacy Hill Farm. Rustic barnwood boxes held elegant flower arrangements, while the menu included trail mix and s’mores. Kaileigh and Matthew do, however, share a love of country music, so they brought in their favorite band for the reception.
Ranunculus, scabiosa, dahlias, hydrangeas, roses and amaranthus decorated the ceremony entrance.
Kaileigh and her mom made wool blankets that they offered guests to stay warm during the chilly outdoor ceremony. For the reception, eucalyptus greens, fall foliage, dahlias and roses cascaded down the head table. Other spots were decorated with barnwood flower boxes handmade by Kaileigh’s dad. The groomsmen matched Matthew’s vibe with their own twill ties, but added a pop to their looks with red shirts, some in solids and others in plaid.
Matthew and his groomsmen wore twine-wrapped gun shells with ranunculus, privet berries and seeded eucalyptus. After noshing on a full spread of pulled pork, green beans and mac and cheese, guests helped themselves to cookies, cupcakes, s’mores and mini apple and cherry pies. “Legacy Hill Farm has beautiful views and historic buildings,” Kaileigh says. “It was a good fit for a country boy and city girl.”
