The couple invited their parents along and packed a picnic. In the orchard, David called Courtenay over to see the “huge apple” he’d found. She went over and saw a small box hanging by a red ribbon from one of the tree limbs. David then got down on one knee, and the mother of the groom managed to capture it all on film -- the photos were on display a year later at the couple’s wedding reception.
