A Romantic Amphitheater Wedding in Winona Lake, Indiana
Corinne (22 and a teacher) and Cody (21 and also a teacher) met at freshman orientation at Greenville College, where both were driven athletes (he played football, while she played volleyball), on the honors roll, studying physics (he majored, she minored), and conveniently had all but two of the same classes. They started dating during the second semester and fell in love not long after. The day Cody proposed, he flew to Indiana, where Corinne and her family lived, so that they could go to a friend’s wedding. At this point, they hadn’t seen each other in two months, so Corinne had no idea Cody had anything planned. While the family went to set up for dinner with Corinne’s grandmother, Corinne’s father suggested that she and Cody should take a walk by the river. There, Cody had set up candles and a blanket while pictures of him and Corinne hung from the trees. Corinne eagerly accepted his incredibly romantic proposal, and they set out to planning their wedding. Ever since she was eight, Corinne knew she wanted to get married at the Winona Lake Amphitheater in Indiana—it was the same venue Corinne’s cousin a dream fairytale wedding fifteen years earlier. At last, Corinne got to have a fairytale wedding of her very own.
