Cookie Escort Cards Welcomed Guests to This Purple-and-Blue Wedding at a California Winery
In college, Jenny and Sylvester were placed in the same dorms, but on different floors. During that time, Jenny would wander to the guys floor pretending to look for her friend to borrow something, but really she was hoping to run into Sylvester. As if on cue, every time she went to “borrow” something, Sylvester was always there hanging out in the hall. “I like to think that he was waiting to bump into me,” said Jenny. To celebrate their romantic comedy-worthy love story, the couple decided on a summery wedding at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, California, filled with, "romantic and happy colors."
To make their vision come to life, their florist, Flowerstory, used an array of pink, purple, peach and white florals which seamlessly completed the surrounding California hills of their venue, Wente Vineyards. To welcome guests to the bucolic setting, Jenny and Sylvester's wedding planner designed a cookie wall which doubled as their seating chart and wedding favors, a detail the couple notes as one of their favorites from the celebration.
When asked to impart some advice to others currently planning their weddings, Jenny and Sylvester say: “Have a phone meeting or meet in person with vendors before booking. I think choosing the right vendor for yourself is so important. I had such awesome vendors that I clicked with right away – it really helped the wedding day be so enjoyable us! I knew we were in good hands and we had nothing to worry about except to enjoy the day. We were told the day would fly by so quickly, and it sure did!”
