Colorful, DIY Wedding With One-of-a-Kind Art at Goggleworks Center for the Arts in Reading, Pennsylvania

Mickayel always wanted a big wedding, but Benjamin thought they should elope. The solution? They made it official at city hall with a few witnesses, then threw a reception for 136 guests two days later.
A fan of polka dots, Mickayel thought they'd keep the cake from looking too serious — and she was right. The couple's DIY wedding, which was put together with the help of family and friends, resulted in a one-of-a-kind evening complete with color and tons of personality.
"When my aunt asked me about our theme, I said, 'color and art,'" Mickayel says. For table numbers, she bought decorative paper, and with her mom's help, used mod podge to affix it to cardboard numbers. These sat atop art catalogs from the couple's personal collection. The bride's aunt arranged the flowers.
"Given the choice, I choose color every time," Mickayel says of her pink heels that her uncle, who owns a shoe salon, dyed for her.
