Grace and Michael like to do things their way. Exhibit A: The pair decided to host their wedding in Philadelphia to be close to family. Grace used her years of event coordination experience to plan the pair’s bright, rule-breaking party. “Our day was a nontraditional, cultural hodgepodge,” Grace says. The couple skipped a wedding party and cake, and instead of music, opted for guests to pick their own playlist via a karaoke machine. “We both love karaoke, so we sang a first song instead of doing a first dance,” Grace says. The couple carried their vision of a rainbow-hued color palette to their cheerful watercolor escort cards.  Dahlias in shades of orange, red and pink filled bud vases alongside navy-blue taper candles. Guests took home frosted shortbread cookies featuring a portrait of the pair’s cat, Ron. “Because he couldn’t attend, we had to include Ron in our special day as much as possible,” Grace says.
