Jennifer (Jen) VanDeventer (36 and self-employed) and David Young (34 and a logistics manager) share a love of all things colorful and whimsical, so it only made sense to fill their wedding with orange ranunculus, a collar of bright blooms for Addie, their pup, and a pink suit for David–all juxtaposed against the stones of Oakland Cemetery. "Some guests didn't understand at first, but that's the reaction we were going for," Jen says of their unique location. "Once they got there, with the gardens in bloom for spring, it was beautiful."
The Oakland Cemetery was founded in 1850 and is Atlanta's third larges public green space. "We've always loved walking through the cemetery," Jen says.
