Colorful Bohemian Wedding with Serbian Tradition
Accountants Brittany Danilov (29) and Lane Robilotto (29) honored age-old traditions at their wedding. Brittany is Serbian and prioritized her heritage when planning. “I wanted the same traditional Orthodox ceremony my parents had,” she says. “The more tradition, the better.” After (literally) tying the knot, a Serbian tamburitza band greeted the couple as they headed to the reception—a tented boho bash filled with wildflowers, hanging lanterns and Serbian beer. Lane’s only request: Serbian lamb.
Brittany punched up her flowers with colorful extras, while her bridesmaids carried white and ivory blooms.
Bright arrangements of roses, proteas and hyacinths marked tables alongside amber-colored glasses, candles and bud vases. In keeping with the floral-forward vibe, Brittany and Lane’s baker topped their cutting cake with delicate edible flowers. Natural stones and crystals added a modern mineral edge to the calligraphed, deckled-edge place cards. “We mixed natural, wood elements with deep jewel tones, which added to the eclectic, boho style,” Brittany says.
