One Couple's Colorful, Bohemian Wedding at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York

Amanda and Brian went with two distinct themes for parts one and two of their day. “The ceremony was an ethereal, boho fairy tale, while the party was metallics and rock,” Amanda says. The pair exchanged vows under a chuppah with a “wildflower forest aesthetic” that was meant to “drip with flowers,” Amanda says. They also put a twist on the traditional seven Jewish blessings by incorporating their seven favorite quotes into the ceremony instead. The service’s “earthy vibe” was captured by the ketubah and Amanda’s dress, which included a dip-dyed green silk and tulle layer to give the dress a subtle hint “as if I had just walked through the grass and picked up brush along the way,” Amanda says. Brian also joined in with his custom dark green suit.
The bridesmaids carried a single stem of their choice. “At the end, we created a unity bouquet,” Amanda says.  The two designed a custom poster that mimicked the look of a ’70s concert advertisement, inspired by the likes of Phish and Grateful Dead. Guests took home “limited edition” copies of the poster, and Brian and Amanda hung the original in their apartment.
The pair’s hashtag “#AmandaStrikesGold” was a pun on the location and both of their names. Phrases like “Namaste Out All Night” and “Let The Good Vibes Roll” set the right tone. Late-night, Amanda changed into a custom rainbow sequin romper and threw her hair into a high ponytail.  “Brooklyn Bowl was all about the party,” Amanda says. “They have a giant disco ball in the center of the room, so it felt natural to throw a disco-rock concert in paradise.” Palm leaves, mini bananas, birds of paradise and other tropical plants decorated the party, with a few stems getting a hit of gold spray paint.
