A Colorful Black-and-Berry Wedding at the W Hoboken in Hoboken, New Jersey

New Yorkers Rebecca and Kevin crossed the river for their modern wedding at the W Hoboken. “It has the most amazing views,” Rebecca says. “It was also fun that a lot of guests were staying over.” For the traditional Jewish ceremony, the couple placed candles in the windows and hung a family tallit from the birch chuppah. Rebecca carried peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, calla lilies and pepper berries. The recessional to Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” played by a string quartet, ushered in the stylish reception.  During cocktail hour, guests took in the Manhattan skyline while grazing on tuna tartare, tomato soup shooters and mac-and-cheese balls. Roses, ranunculus, hellebores, foxglove and geranium foliage topped dinner tables. A wall of candles gave the reception “a romantic, natural look,” Rebecca says. Kevin requested a custom cake flavor: vanilla layered with chocolate fudge and fresh banana slices.
