Classy, Upscale, Kansas City Wedding at Performing Arts Center
When it came to wedding design, Paige Kauffman (26 and works in marketing) and Chris Fellows (26 and a teacher) let the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts lead the way. “We wanted our style to complement the glass windows and stainless steel,” Paige says. “But we expressed our vibe with some contrasting colorful details.” Roses, dahlias and freesia all in white decorated the ceremony, while pink and coral hues punched up the reception. Another twist: Everyone grabbed slices of pizza for dinner.
Chris added a fun flair to his classic look with a pair of penguin cuff links in honor of his favorite animal.
“There’s no such thing as too many flowers, so we went big,” Paige says. Bright pink and orange ranunculus, roses, dahlias and protea as well as tropical greenery towered over the reception tables topped with marble-printed tablecloths. Guests ate slices of almond, blueberry limoncello and chocolate cake served with scoops of gelato. After dancing to the music of Lost Wax, guests waved the newlyweds o¢ with sparklers as they hopped into a Bentley.
