Emma Garber, 27, a medical chemist and Paul Cody, 32, a fund accountant chose the Royal Sonesta Hotel for their April wedding based on its stunning views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. They used a bold color palette of purple and green (Emma's favorite colors) to bring their classic ballroom wedding to life, influencing nearly every aspect of the day—especially the bridesmaid looks. Emma carried a small rounded bouquet of purple lisianthus.
Emma wore a strapless ball gown by Allure Bridals with a crystal-embellished bodice and a full tulle skirt. "It was a perfect fit for me—elegant and fancy on top and very fun on the bottom!" she says.
Emma's favorite colors—purple and green decided they day's color palette, including Paul's purple lisianthus and rose boutonniere.
Emma's bridesmaids accessorized their purple Bari Jay dresses with green statement necklaces.
"Paul and I are not super formal so we had the guys wear dark grey tuxes by Vera Wang that looked more like suits than tuxes," says Emma. They finished their look in matching purple ties.

"We decided on Royal Sonesta Hotel because we wanted a venue with a view," says Emma. "Also we were living in Cambridge when we met, so it was special to us and the view was of the Charles River and the Boston skyline."
